Luxury fashion brand Delpozo will open its first Middle East store later this year. The Spanish house will bring its Autumn/Winter collection to Dubai when the store opens in September. Delpozo designer Josep Font will be heavily involved in the design of the store and is set to pay a visit to Dubai for the opening. The Dubai Mall store will be Delpozo’s third store in the world, after the London and Madrid branches.

Same style, cheaper prices

Gap Factory, the ‘value chain’ from Gap, opened its doors at the Meraas Outlet Village Mall last week. Expect to find entirely different ranges for men, women and children from those available at the main stores – and all at super-affordable prices.

Here we go again

I can’t let this week pass without mentioning the designer musical chairs that is already starting to shake up the fashion industry for another year. The biggest shock of 2017 so far is Riccardo Tisci’s announcement that he is to leave Givenchy after 12 years as creative director of the brand. Talk is Tisci will take on a role at Versace. Meanwhile Ralph Laure, CEO Stefan Larsson surprisingly quit the brand after disagreements with management on the future of the company. We are only in the second month of the year but with these moves putting things into motion there’s no doubt there will be at least as much change in 2017 as we saw last year.

Star style

Friday playlist favourite The Weeknd has joined forces with H&M for its Spring Icons menswear collection. The singer worked with the brand to create a capsule range of casual essentials and fashion-focused streetwear pieces, similar to his own style. The collection will be sold in all H&M stores stocking menswear from March 3.

The IT brand

Vetements is the fashion brand everyone is talking about thanks to its collaborations with 18 high street brands including Levi’s, Champion and Juicy Couture. The high-end line loves to break the mould of couture by pairing with lower-end fashion and sports brands to create capsule collections – everyone from the Kardashians to Rihanna to Hailey Baldwin (above) has been spotted in its designs. It could be you spotted next: Vetements is now in the UAE exclusively at Harvey Nichols Dubai.

Parisian chic

I love this collaboration between Self Portrait and iconic French shoe designer Robert Clergerie. Pointed ballerina-style shoes are going to be huge this year, and what’s more, their low height makes them so wearable. Prices from Dh1,379, exclusively at stylebop.com.
