From politics to fashion

cefinn

She may be the wife of former Prime Minister of the UK David Cameron, but Samantha Cameron’s real passion is fashion. With a sister at the helm of British Vogue (Emily Sheffield is Vogue’s deputy editor and in the running to take the editorship later this year).
Sam Cam has fashion in her genes, so it seems fitting that she has now launched her own fashion line, Cefinn. The 22-piece collection aimed at fashion-conscious working women is a range of stylish workwear with splashes of bright colour, perfect to wear from day to night. Prices range from around Dh600 to Dh1,800 at netaporter.com.

Whether you’re lucky enough to be travelling to something as cool as Coachella or attending one of Dubai’s big concerts, H&M’s limited-edition Coachella collection has your festival look sorted. The range includes denim, printed T-shirts and fringed accessories, and arrives in UAE stores on March 30.

First look: Robinsons and John Lewis

I was lucky enough to have a sneak preview inside the new and eagerly anticipated Robinsons department store this week. The store, which will be located within the new expansion of Dubai Festival City, also houses a John Lewis Home store on the second floor. Robinsons is one of Singapore’s oldest and most popular brands, but its partnership with iconic British high street store John Lewis is a first for both brands – and it’s happening here in the UAE. Expect to find women’s, men’s and kids’ fashion from a huge range of brands as well as a whole floor of beauty within Robinsons; and a range of home and interiors products within the John Lewis area. It’s due to open on March 29.

Pop-up shop

Online fashion site F7 Design will come to life as a pop-up store in Dubai’s Design District until March 13. ‘The shop will take a futuristic approach, entwining technology and fashion and showing guests how important this is today,’ says F7 founder Fatima Abdul Jalil Al Fahim. F7 stocks local and international designer brands as well as the home-grown F7 range. It’s the first time it has been available to shop anywhere other than its site.

When in Rome

It’s starting to feel a lot like spring with Alice + Olivia’s latest collection. The colourful bold prints are inspired by the bright city streets of Rome. It’s hard to choose just one so here are my top pieces to go and buy for your summer wardrobe.
