If you thought there were no more sales until late this year think again. Dubai Summer Surprises – the 20th edition! – is back next month for of six whole weeks of bargain buys and offers. Alongside discounts and promotions there will also be prizes to be one and entertainment across Dubai’s malls for all the family. Dubai Summer Surprises is happening from July 1 to August 12.

Now you can buy a toy replica of the most fashionable cat in the world. Karl Lagerfeld has joined forces with stuffed toy makers Steiff to create a limited edition luxury toy version of his pet cat Choupette. Karl’s cat is an icon in her own right with almost a hundred thousand followers on Facebook. Moda Operandi have unveiled the latest update to their shopping app which allows users to chat to in-house personal stylists on what to buy and how to style items. It’s now even easier to have expert advice delivered straight to you, making you want to shop so much more. London here we come

DDFC and FAD Dubai are calling all aspiring fashion designers to apply for their chance to present their fashion collection at London Fashion Week. The competition which will happen for the second time after designers Deborah Henning and Sheikha Amal Al Maktoum won last year, will send two lucky fashion designers to the UK to show their designers on the runway at London Fashion Scout during London Fashion Week. Applicants must be DDFC members (register here ddfc.ae/register), and must have released a minimum of four previous collections, alongside having participated in at least two previous fashion shows. Both womenswear and menswear designers can send in their applications alongside their portfolios to opencall@ddfc.ae and download application forms from ddfc.ae until 29 Jun.
