UAE-based designer Amira Haroon was chosen by a panel of judges to showcase her collection at Fashion Scout London, an international platform that has seen the likes of Peter Pilotto, David Koma and Felder Felder showing their collections to a larger audience.

She was selected from seven shortlisted designers, who had submitted their work on July 23 to the judging panel including Jazia Al Dhanhani, CEO of DDFC.

Haroon was brought up in Saudi Arabia, and is currently based in Dubai. In 2011, she launched her brand The Amira Haroon RTW label.

The DDFC x FAD Dubai Fashion Showcase is an initiative that gives Emirati and UAE-based designers an opportunity to showcase their collection at Fashion Scout London at London Fashion Week. Earlier this year, it gave UAE-based brands Azzalia and Deborah Henning an opportunity to make their international debut at London Fashion Scout AW17.

Fashion Scout London will be held during London Fashion Week from September 15-19.
