Over the weekend I usually sleep in really late. I try and get out in the evenings. It is either dinner with a few friends or attending house parties. I like dancing a lot and find it a great way to de-stress. If I haven’t had a very late night, I end up catching up on TV or movies.
My quick beauty fix is kohl. I love the way it almost instantaneously makes me look fresh and bright. And I always keep a lip balm around to prevent chapped lips. Also, whenever I get a chance I love to splash some water on my face for a dose of freshness.
I love watching TV shows on my laptop. So on weekends, I generally spend almost the whole day binge-watching a show. I watch around 10 shows at a time! I love Blacklist, The Big Bang Theory, Castle, Bones… I like more of drama with a little bit of romance thrown in. Those are the kind of shows that interest me.
I absolutely love potato chips. Chocolates, too. They’re my kryptonite! But I haven’t looked at them in the past six months, or even thought about them.
ALL IN THE FAMILY
It was both intimidating and comforting to share screen space with my elder brother (actor Shahid Kapoor) and father (actor Pankaj Kapoor) in my very first film. As a daughter, my dad’s approval of me as an actor meant a lot. Shahid, on the other hand, is a very protective brother and pampers me.
London is my favourite place in the world. It’s a city full of old-world charm. Europe in general is so beautiful. I recently visited Italy and felt the country belonged to a fairy tale. If I were to ever have a destination wedding, I would hold it in Italy.
There’s a place in Mumbai called Leaping Windows that I enjoy visiting. It’s a café and comics’ library. I just walk in and chill there, sometimes taking up a book to read as I sip on coffee.
I love shopping in the UK. Every time I go I find some interesting stuff there that suits my vintage taste. I’ll splurge without a care on accessories! Earrings and shoes are my weakness.
FIT TO FAT TO FIT
I had to pile on a lot of weight – 15kg – for my debut film Shaandaar, and now I’ve been hitting the gym to shed all those pounds and stay fit. My workout regimen involves a mixture of cardio and weights, along with yoga. It really helps in improving the flexibility of your body. Apart from that I also find yoga very calming.
