It’s raining promotions this Valentine’s and the air waves are no exception. Right now, a fabulous promotion is happening on Radio 2’s 99.3 FM.

Participate in it and you can walk home with diamonds, no less!

The Diamond Dig, launched on January 31 and which runs until February 10, has DJs Kenny and Daisy of The Kenny & Daisy Show choosing listeners to participate in a ‘dig’ that will be held on February 11 at the Le Royal Meridein Beach Resort & Spa, Dubai, from where the breakfast show will be aired that day.

Chosen listeners will breakfast with Kenny and Daisy and at around 8:30 am participate in the dig – for Dh50,000 worth of diamonds buried in boxes in the sand! The dig will last until all boxes are found. Finders are keepers and one of the boxes will have a Big Rock worth about Dh25,000! The diamonds are sponsored by Cara Jewelers.

Last year, one of the chosen listeners, Rebecca Johnston, could not participate in the dig because she was due to deliver at that time. The DJs had another person stand in for her, and she ended up winning a Mirage set of jewellery!

The winner of the grand prize, Wilma Rouse, ‘dug out’ an Affair Dome ring worth Dh23,000, and four Mirage sets.
