Star Indian percussionist Sivamani to perform in Dubai

Award-winning artiste to perform on March 10 at Global Village

Global Village, the region’s leading family destination for cultural entertainment and shopping, in collaboration with India pavilion will showcase the phenomenal talent of Sivamani at its main cultural stage on Thursday, the 10th of March in a spectacular concert starting 9pm.

The percussionist of Indian origin is regarded as a world musician and has performed in multiple cities around the world including New York, Moscow, Dubai and Toronto. Sivamani is a unique percussionist who not only plays many instruments including the drums but is well known for creating rhythmic sounds out of virtually anything.

Having been honoured by the Indian government, Sivamani also has performed along with globally recognized and award winning musicians such as A. R Rahman and Zakir Hussain. Some of the popular Indian movies that Sivamani has played percussions for include Roja, Rang De Basanti, Swades, Taal, Lagaan, Dil Se, Guru, Kabul Express and Rockstar.

The star percussionist will be performing at 9pm on the main cultural stage at Global Village this Thursday. Concert is included in the price of Global Village’s entry ticket for AED 15 with no additional charges.
