The inaugural XYoga Dubai Festival, taking place at Burj Park Downtown Dubai on the 19th and 20th February will feature some of the most renowned names in the field of yoga.

Founded by Dubai Tourism and XDubai, which encourages action sport, those who have scheduled for the event include YouTube sensation, Dashama Konah, who will be sharing her journey from student to teacher through her transformative experiences with her yoga practice; LA based Sadie Nardini, the founder of Core Strength Vinyasa Yoga and all round rock star, who will be bringing her niche style of yoga that teaches powerful movement to turbo boost any practice with her real-world mix of eastern and western techniques to truly inspire the mind, body and heart; and Dr. Amy Rachelle, an expert detox doctor who teaches a unique medicinal approach to cleansing and healing with whole, vegan and raw foods.

Others include Sanne Kerkhof, a certified Vijnana yoga teacher and expert in pregnancy yoga; yoga guru Suneel Singh who integrates age old traditional forms of yoga and meditation with the new and other forms of exercise and Tao Porchon-Lynch, certified by Guinness World Records as the world’s oldest yoga teacher at 97 years old who teaches at various studios around her home in White Plains, New York.

Brian Crawford, a self-made and highly regarded American artist, with a passion for yoga and nature photography, will be capturing the spirit of the festival and the power of the human form against the breathtaking Burj Khalifa back drop.

The yoga festival will reinforce its role as a 2-day full-immersion yoga and wellbeing event, including the main yoga session on 19th February.

Helping participants to find the balance between work and leisure, the international yogis will be hosting a series of free yoga sessions, workshops and talks for all ages and abilities.

Javad Khoramifar, Festival Director, said: ‘XYoga is set to be the biggest festival of its kind in Dubai catering for yoga fans of all abilities. We’re expecting crowds in the thousands for what promises to be an exhilarating two days of complete mind and body wellness.

The festival will also feature a host of healthy eating seminars and meditation to encourage inner peace and outer strength.”

In addition to the main yoga session on the 19th and a variety of live music sets and entertainment experiences for Dubai residents and visitors to enjoy, there are also a series of pre-activations, such as an experiential Yoga Truck with yoga demonstrations stopping at key locations around the city and yoga flash mobs.
