Ahmed Al Ameri, lead driver of Al-Futtaim Motors’ TRD Emirates Drifting Team, will be going head-to-head with some of the world’s most accomplished drift professionals in the UAE round of the 2016 King of Nations World Drift Championship, on January 28 and 29.

Ahmed Al Ameri is the first driver to win back-to-back Drift UAE Championships, securing titles in the 2011/2012, 2013/2014 and 2014/2015 seasons.

He will go up against 62 other drivers from Asia, Oceania, Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East, in one of the most exciting and challenging races to take place in the UAE, using his specially modified Toyota 86.

‘It’s always a great experience competing against drivers from different continents and with different schools of thought,’ says Ahmed. ‘It’s also exciting for the crowd to see different drifting styles unfold in a cloud of smoke and noise, and for the drivers it’s a fantastic learning curve that allows us to develop our skills even further by learning from some of the best in the business.’

Ahmed will participate in the first qualifications round on January 28, before taking part in the finals on January 29.
