A new emoji and sticker app, which will allow users to express themselves the Khaleeji-way, is coming to the UAE soon.

HALLA WALLA (which means what’s up in Arabic) will introduce character-based – a Khaleeji family – emojis and GIFs to describe almost every emotion. From expressing anger, happiness and love to Yalla (hurry) and Shway Shway (slowly or little by little).

The app allows users to send stickers on iMessage and GIFs through Android and IOS handsets.

The launch will take place at Satellite, located in Alserkal Avenue, on February 22 with a Khaleeji childhood-themed party. The line-up will include DJs, food from Rami Farook’s Khaleeji Tacos, performance by Dubai-based art collective Satwa 3000 and a sneak peek at WAIN WALEED, a sister product of HALLA WALLA.

App is availabe to download at: https://itunes.apple.com/ae/app/halla-walla-stickers/id1169442160?mt=8; https://itunes.apple.com/ae/app/halla-walla/id1115157271?mt=8; https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.puma.hallawalla&hl=en.
