Action-packed food challenges guaranteed at Abu Dhabi Flavors Festival

Exciting lineup of food competitions and activities set to take place during the 10-day food fiesta

The 10-day food festival will be held at Umm al Emarat Park and will have over 100 food tents and street trucks including Selfie Burger, Bubo Barcelona, Koshari Point, Mixtures, Raclette DXB and more .

Highlights of this year’s event are the competitions.

The Flavors League contest will have foodies in Abu Dhabi competing for the Flavors League champion 2017 title and a grand prize of Dh5,000 in cash. Running throughout the festival, the final playoff will take place at 9 pm on April 7.

Burger lovers can participate in the Burger Grand Prix, a lap challenge where two applicants will be selected every day to complete a lap of five burger stops at the festival, where they have to finish a burger at each stop to reach the next. The winner will get gift vouchers.

Home cooks can win an iPad by taking part in Tabkhati (My Recipe) contest. Participants are asked to upload photo of a food dish on Facebook or Instagram with the recipe in the post, using the hashtag #Tabkhati and tag @ADFlavors. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to have their dishes judged at the festival on April 8.

Visitors can also win gift vouchers by posting a selfie with their favorite food at the festival (#Foodfie) or a shot of their best moment at the festival (#MyFestiveMoments) on Instagram.

Other activities include traditional folklore dance and magic shows. There is a dedicated area for the children featuring arts and crafts and face painting and a Crafts Majlis area for the women.

The festival will also have quiz competitions every day.
