Presented by the Arab Fashion Council, Arab Fashion Week will showcase local and international designers’ work with catwalk fashion shows to be held at The Meydan Hotel between October 6 and 10.
While the main fashion shows are reserved for only VIP invitees, and celebrities’ day-time events are open to the public. This will include fashion workshops run by fashion design students from the American University in Dubai, as well as exhibitions from some of the regions most talented designers.
Designers from New York, Italy, and Paris will showcase their collections. LaQuan Smith, who regularly dresses the likes of Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian, is one of them. Aiisha Ramadan from Lebanon, TIIYA by Alanoud Al Attiya from Qatar and Nicholas Chahine, also from Lebanon, are the regional talents who will participate.
Kicking off tomorrow the five-day programme will include:
Day 1: Kid’s wear and the opening womenswear shows
Day 2: First dedicated menswear in the region
Day 3-5: Women’s fashion
9am – 6pm: DESIGNER EXIBITIONS & WORKSHOPS – open to the public
6pm – 10pm: Fashion shows showcasing Arab and international designers. Open only to VIPs
