Coldplay to perform in Abu Dhabi on New Year’s Eve

The news came during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend that included performances by Rihanna, Pitbull, Lionel Richie and The Chemical Brothers

Exciting news for Coldplay fans! FLASH Entertainment has announced that the British band will return to Abu Dhabi to ring in the New Year at the du Arena, Yas Island.

The concert – part of A Head Full of Dreams, named after the group’s latest album – is Coldplay’s second New Year’s Eve performance in the UAE and their third gig here since 2009.

Chris Martin has hinted that A Head Full of Dreams, which has celebrity guest appearances by Beyonce and Barack Obama, might also be the group’s final album.

The band is known for hit songs such as Hymn For The Weekend, A Sky Full of Stars and Every Teardrop is a Waterfall.

This year’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix ticket holders can get a 20 per cent discount on the General Admission Category for this gig.

Tickets go on sale today at 12pm and will be available at Limited early bird prices are Dh350 for Regular. Standard prices start from Dh395.
