Nostalgic 90s music will be the theme of the inaugural Sunset Music Festival at the Zayed Sports City on October 21. The show promises seven hours of non-stop music with a line-up of award-winning artists such as multi-platinum selling British singer/songwriter Gabrielle, Arrested Development, Freshly Ground and Snap, who will their well-known hits.
Gabrielle is Britain’s most successful R&B soul singer, who rose to fame with her debut single ‘Dreams’, topping the UK singles chart in 1993 and earning her a 1994 BRIT Award. ‘I am very excited to be returning to Abu Dhabi and I can’t wait to play with my band at Sunset Music Festival,’ says Gabrielle.
Grammy award-winning American alternative hip-hop group Arrested Development which revolutionised the world of hip-hop will play their biggest hits ‘Everyday People’, ‘Tennessee’ and ‘Mr Wendal’.
Dubai-based multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Adam Baluch will kick off the festival with his rendition of some of the biggest hits from the 90s.
Doors will open at 3.30pm and the first performance is due to take place at 4.30pm. Tickets will be priced at Dh 255 and Dh 355, and available through Platinumlist.net and the UAE Exchange.
