Princess Haya Bint Al Hussain, wife of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and chairperson of the International Humanitarian City, will give the opening speech at this year’s International Conference of Sports for Women (ICSW).

Princess Haya will be speaking about her sporting achievements on November 6.

Her sporting achievements include becoming the first female (at the age of 13) to represent Jordan internationally in equestrian show jumping and to be the first and only female to win a Pan-Arab equestrian medal at the Pan-Arab Equestrian Games (1992).

In 2000, she represented Jordan in show jumping at the Sydney Olympic Games.

The free event, which is in its fourth year, is organised by the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy and will be attended by industry figures and local sportswomen.

It will be held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) from November 6 to 7.

Registrations for ICSW are now open to the public. To register, visit: www.fbma.ae/icsw.
