The relaxation area is a landscaped fantasyland with lush trees and a snaking pool that immediately transports you to some rocking Caribbean island. Grab a bite from the seafood, salad, olive, soup, grill, Italian food, turkey and dessert stations until you drop on a cocoon bed by the pool and watch the sun go down on yet another spectacular day. Raffles Dubai

The aroma of your grandma’s traditional roast filling up
the house, you stuffing
your pockets with your Italian aunt’s melt-in-the-mouth struffoli, and Christmas carols on high volume… If nostalgia is dampening your festive spirit, then reserve a seat at Raffles Dubai’s iconic Christmas
Day Brunch, where executive chef Tuomas Heikkinen is pulling out all the stops to create a festive wonderland that’ll have you totally mesmerised.
Set in the Raffles ballroom and garden under Swarovski chandeliers, the extensive buffet and live cooking stations will not only be serving Christmas favourites from across the world, but the chef’s childhood favourite, Finnish hot smoked salmon, as well. Cooked to perfection over an open-fire pit, it will instantly transport you to Santa’s Lapland. And did we
tell you that DJ Jas will be playing old-school favourites, Christmas carols and pop classics while the little ones keep busy in the kids’ zone with bouncy castles, balloon bending
and clowns? Oh also, Father Nicholas might stop by to wish you a Merry Christmas.

Will there be glistening snow and sleigh bells ringing? We hope so. But walking into the winter wonderland that will be The Address’ Constellation Ballroom on December 25 from noon to 4pm, we’re sure to clap eyes on a lavish spread that will feed Scrooge with Yuletide cheer. Think succulent roast turkey, juicy leg of Wicklow lamb and braised veal with black truffles. The halls will be decked to resemble a festive village with a dedicated kids’ area and a special visit from the man himself – Santa! (Dh320-Dh575). Festive cheer at The Address doesn’t end on Christmas Day though. International restaurant Mazina gives Boxing Day

Bread Street Kitchen, Atlantis,
The Palm

What merry meals do Michelin-star celebrity chefs conceive for Christmas? Our burning question has been answered by Gordon Ramsay – a three-course traditional Christmas Eve dinner at his new Dubai restaurant, Bread Street Kitchen. We’re in love with this short, simple and delicious menu that leaves all the decorations for the tree and trimmings for the turkey. There’s Scottish salmon, crème fraiche, and watercress and fennel salad for starters, roast turkey wellington with cranberry sauce for mains and caramelised banana bread with Christmas pudding ice cream for dessert. We expected nothing less.

☞ ’Tis the night before Christmas so you might miss Santa and his reindeers while savouring this gourmet meal as a live performer regales you. Dh250 per person, from 6pm. Call 04 426 2000.
