Is NARS animal testing?

NARS has caused a beauty rift this week with its announcement that it will sell its products in China. While NARS has previously said that it does not test its products on animals, Chinese laws often require cosmetic brands to test products selling in the country on animals. In a statement on its Instagram account NARS has explained – despite suggesting that they will have to test products on sale in China on animals – that they are committed to promoting cruelty-free product testing. The statement has not surprisingly caused a backlash from many of their fans questioning their commitment. If you want to avoid buying products that test on animals, here’s our top five brands that don’t do it:

1. Anastasia Beverly Hills

2. Urban Decay

3. Marc Jacobs Beauty

4. Becca

5. Charlotte Tilbury
