Old Hollywood

Paris Hilton’s recent wedding to fiancé Carter Reum was one of the most talked-about events of the past year. The reality star-turned-entrepreneur documented her entire nuptials through a reality series titled Paris in Love, giving the world a glimpse into the glitz and glamour of her special day. For her beauty look, Paris enlisted the assistance of make-up artist Steven Tabimba and hairstylist Eduardo Ponce who together created an elegant old Hollywood glamour style.

Hair: Paris opted for a classic up-do that would be perfect on any red carpet. With a strong side parting her hair was swept into a tight bun on the back of her head and clipped firmly in place. The show-stopping moment came from her wavy side fringe that was left loose by the side of her face. This offered a modern twist on the classic look. Paris finished her wedding day look with a full veil that was pushed to the back of her head.

Make-up: The inspiration behind Paris’ beauty look came from her ultimate icon; Marylin Monroe. Her skin had a velvety, matte appearance with a soft glow highlight on her cheekbones that caught the light as she walked. Her eyes featured neutral shadow with a winged-liner look for elegance and class and were finished with fifties style lashes. For lips, Tabimba used a soft pink tone to complete the look. You could also opt for a red lip here if you’re looking for an extra-glamorous finish.

Who suits this look? An old Hollywood glamour look will suit almost any complexion and leave you feeling like a superstar on your big day. To mix up the look add a red lip to finish or add a soft brown shadow on the eyes.

Rich Tones

The Look: For Priyanka Chopra, her wedding celebrations with husband Nick Jonas offered the perfect opportunity to go all out with her hair and make-up look while letting her natural beauty shine through. Getting married in India the couple had a week of celebrations that required perfection when it came to the actress’s hair and makeup. With two ceremonies: a traditional Mehendi ceremony and a white wedding, Chopra opted for similar beauty looks that complemented the surroundings and of course her two beautiful wedding gowns by Sabyasachi and Ralph Lauren respectively.

Make-up: Priyanka had several looks throughout her week of celebrations, but they all had one thing in common: bold lips and a radiant complexion. With make-up looks created by artist Yumo Mori, the actress wowed with an ultra glamourous appearance using rich tones and a matte finish to her skin. Mori began with a matte foundation and strong contouring around the cheekbones, finished with soft blush on the cheeks. This was paired with an intense look on the eyes featuring rich coral and terracotta shades of shadow, bold brows and dramatic lashes. For lips, Mori used a red matte finish lipstick that would last all day.

Hair: For both ceremonies, Priyanka chose to wear her hair in an elegant up-do. For the first wedding, the bride’s hair was parted in the middle and loosely pulled back, with lightly-curled strands framing her face. For the second day, her head was mostly covered so Priyanka chose to pull back her locks from her face and secure them in a low bun at the back of her head.

Who suits this look? This look is perfect for those having a winter wedding as well as anyone looking to really steal the show on their big day. For those with dusky skin, a red lip can add impact on your bridal look and it’s perfect when paired with a white gown or a red-toned dress. If you are wearing softer colours, choose the same look for skin and eyes and replace the red lip with a neutral or soft pink shade. Priyanka’s hair styles were both practical and elegant. If your dress has a lot going on it’s best to choose a simple up-do that won’t distract from your dress or overpower your makeup.

Bronze Goddess

The Look: When you’re as beautiful as Hailey Bieber it goes without saying that you will stand out on your wedding day, but for her wedding to Justin Beiber, Hailey’s understated beauty look truly make her look like a princess. As they married in a low profile setting in South Carolina alongside close friends and family, the model captured the attention of everyone in the room.

Make-up: As a global supermodel and the face of Bare Minerals, Hailey Bieber is no stranger to make-up, so she knows what looks good on her. Working with her favourite make-up artist Denika Bedrossian, Hailey chose a simple yet sophisticated make-up look. Beginning with a soft glowy complexion, Bedrossian added a subtle contour to the model’s cheekbones and finished with a warm-toned highlighter that offered a golden glow. She paired that with a soft smoky eye in natural tones, brushed brows, thick black eyeliner and curled lashes. For lips, Hailey wore a matte nude shade of lipstick.

Hair: Hailey’s hair was styled by celebrity hairdresser and long-time friend Jen Atkin. Jen parted Hailey’s blonde locks in the middle and swept them back into a low chignon with a few curled strands left loose to frame her face. Hailey wore pearls in her hair around the chignon, reflecting the embroideries in her dress and train which were designed by the bride’s close friend, the late Virgil Abloh.

Who suits this look? This soft and understated look would suit any relaxed or boho style wedding. If you are getting married on a beach or having festival-style nuptials, a simple yet elegant look such as this will be fuss-free and have you looking beautiful on your big day. To mix it up add a touch of gold liner or eyeshadow to your eyes to complete the golden complexion. While Hailey is a model, don’t let that put you off from trying out this look which will complement a white wedding dress or soft pastel tones.

Soft Tones

The Look: Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif tied the know with fiancé Vicky Kaushal in a private ceremony at the Six Sense Fort Barwara resort in Rajasthan. Opting for muted tone dresses designed by Sabyasachi, Katrina made a case for understated natural beauty with her soft yet flawless look.

Make-up: Katrina worked with celebrity make-up artist Daniel Bauer who created a minimal matte make-up look for the bride. Complementing the tones of her gowns he chose neutral shades for her eyes along with natural brows and dark kohl liner. Kaif’s eyebrows were kept natural and her lips were finished with a light natural balm.

Hair: For her hair, Kaif enlisted the help of hairstylist Amit Thakur who pulled her dark locks back into a soft bun. Katrina wore an embellished mathapatti on her head showing just a touch of her neatly styled locks. The simplicity and elegance of this look allowed Katrina’s red lehenga to have its moment and her radiance to shine from within.

Who suits this look? This look is perfect for anyone who wants to show their natural beauty. The fuss-free makeup will be low maintenance throughout your day but will offer a long-lasting glow. If you want to up the glam add some soft pastel tones on the eyes or opt for a slightly darker lip colour.
