Gold Lips and Nude Eyes look

What could scream festive more than a flowy neon pink one-shoulder Indo-western dress and traditional jewellery? To celebrate it, Priyanka chose a look that allowed the outfit to enjoy the limelight.

Priyanka kept the eyes very subtle by blending in eye shadows in shades of nude, while keeping the brows well-defined and bold.

A light bronze on the cheekbones matched the festive vibe of the antique jewels but she took care to avoid heavy sculpting and contouring.

The lips are dressed in basic brown nude lip colour, and glammed up with a touch of gold shimmer.

Youthful iridescent face, and muted lips and eyes look

This dainty lehenga so bowled over Priyanka with its youthful vibe and soft pastel shade that she decided to go for an as close an au naturel look as possible in a studio shoot.

One great make-up hack to look less made-up and yet show off a festive dazzle is to fake iridescent skin, she says. The key here is applying liquid highlighter drops before the foundation. Primers with in-built radiance and shine pigments are a great option if one doesn’t have a liquid highlighter. The model’s well-hydrated skin gave an added boost to this lit-from-within skin look.

Eyes sport minimal make-up for a muted effect – there’s just a hint of softly blended eyeliner and fake lashes.

Where this make-up goes heavy is on the youthful vibe of blush. Use a heavy hand of pink blush on the cheekbones for a fresh, youthful festive vibe, but avoid heavy contouring.

For the lips, go for a faint hint of light nude lipstick touched up with gloss.

Retro eyes with a hint of shimmer, and nude glossy lips look

Reminiscent of retro Bollywood era, the lace saree and diamonds add a hint of French sophistication to an Indian festive look – perfect to portray a modern vibe when celebrating tradition. Priyanka chose an attractive mix of retro eyeliner for the eyes and a shimmery pout when doing the make-up for this outfit. An eyeliner is used only on the upper eyelids; a hint of soft eyepencil on the lower lid. Keep the liner on the lower eyelid liner very soft, else you could end up with an ethnic smoky or kohl look.

Eyebrows are especially bold to highlight that vintage vibe. Apart from a brow pencil and brow powder, Priyanka recommends a third step – brow mascara – to add realistic hair-like strokes. For the lips, Priyanka first used a brown nude lipstick before topping up the glamour quotient by using a coat of shimmer to the pout. You could do it either with a shimmery gloss or use a few drops of a bronze-gold liquid highlighter.

Shimmery smoky eye look

This is about dark, smouldering eyes and glossed up lips. Smoky eyes could either be matte or shimmery but because it’s the festive season, Priyanka chose the latter.

Priyanka’s tip to create this festive look: Blend a light silvery eyeshadow over the centre of the eyelid after covering the lid with a darker grey shade. A volumising mascara won’t work so go for the full-on glam smoky look including false lashes.

The make-up rulebook doesn’t advise going heavy with both the lips and the lids, but hey, it’s Diwali. Priyanka played with the red lips but only after toning the brightness of the red hue with a touch of shimmery highlighter and gloss. Avoid bold matte red for the lip when the outfit is embellished, she suggests.

For the skin, Priyanka went heavy with the bronzer. "Bronzing is a glam way to show off the model’s lovely cheekbones."

The hair was styled in natural waves to reveal the delicate strappy shoulders of the outfit.
