Fashion fair

In the lead up to Diwali, around 200 designers from India will visit Dubai to participate in fashion exhibitions, showcasing designer wear, jewellery, accessories, crafts and home décor. Entry is free. These events will include catwalk shows and pop-up stores so you can browse and buy from latest collections that usually are only available in India. Some of the confirmed designers include Ayesha Depala, Rimple and Harpreet Narula and Nikhil Thampi. Here’s my pick of the ones not to miss:

Modista (formerly known as En Vogue), September 15 and 16 at Roda Al Murooj, Downtown Dubai.

Divalicious September 16 and 17 at Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel.

Numaish Festive Fair September 22 and 23 at Godolphin Ballroom, Jumeirah Emirates Towers.

Sopritti September 23 at Roda Al Murooj; September 25 at Dusit Thani Hotel Abu Dhabi.

Design One September 30 and October 1 at the Godolphin Ballroom, Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel.

In fact, he is visiting Dubai at the end of September to exhibit his latest collection. Watch this space for details on more info on his store and designs.
