Sunset treat – egg sweet

The very thought of this sweet dish gets my family nostalgic. This was my late mother-in-law’s signature dish

  • Eggs 4

    Almonds 14

    Sugar 4tbsp

    Baking powder 1 pinch

    Condensed milk 125ml

    Ghee 75-100ml 

    Semolina 1½ tsp (soaked for half an hour in ¼ cup milk) 

    Rose water ½ tsp

    To garnish

    Pistachio pieces

    A pinch saffron


  • Blend eggs, almonds, sugar & baking powder in a mixer, add condensed milk and ghee to the blend. Mix well.

    Add semolina mix & rose water to the batter; mix the whole batter with an egg beater.

    Preheat oven to 180 degree. Spread the batter in a greased tray for 25 to 30 minutes, and bake for 25 minutes. Garnish and serve.

    Adding 75g of sweetened paneer to the batter makes it tastier.
