The most important thing to remember about fitness during Ramadan? Do what you can, not what you can’t. Fasting often means that you can’t operate at the same capacity as you could before- so if you’re deadlifting and running half-marathons on the daily, consider putting down the weights and switching to more low-impact sports to prevent the nasty side effects of overworking yourself.

“A drop in the sugar level can cause several other symptoms such as weakness, shaking of the hands, difficulty in speech, heart palpitations etc,” says M. Hamed Farooqi, Director of the Dubai Diabetes Centre, in an interview with Gulf News. Stay on the safe side with these low-intensity workouts.
