Dust off your apron – the Show Kitchen Corner will host some of the world’s best chefs at the 27th Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF) from April 26-May 2.

On the line-up is the head chef at Zabeel Palace, chef Manzoor, who is a Pakistani cuisine expert.

The chef at the Dubai palace will be accompanied by a host of international and local chefs such who will each conduct live cooking shows and share their culinary techniques across an array of cuisines – Zuma restaurants’ executive chef Pawel Kazanowski will share tips on Polish and Japanese food, Emirati chef Nisreen Al Marzooqi wil focus on fusion Arabic cuisine and chef Ritu Chaturvedi will share her experiences as a food blogger and stylist.

If Turkish delights are your favoured dessert don’t miss Turkish chef Sefda Dorsan demonstrations on desserts and appetisers, and learn the art of biryani making from Dubai-based chef Mohammad Mazheruddin, who specialises in Mughlai cuisine.

You’ll also have a chance to meet familiar faces from your favourite cookery shows – chef and cookbook author Assia Othman, known for her show Assia Kitchen will be present at Show Kitchen Corner, as will chef Pankaj, the winner of the inaugural season of MasterChef India.

The book fair will also be attended by culinary historian Charles Perry who has been collecting medieval Arab cookery manuscripts since 1980 and has translated a number of pre-modern texts, including Al Baghdadi’s The Book of Dishes.

The 27th Abu Dhabi International Book Fair will be held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Centre from 9am-10pm daily except on Fridays, when it will run from 4pm-10pm. Entry is free; visit adbookfair.com.
