The Sukhishvili Georgian National Ballet is having their debut UAE performance tonight at the Dubai Opera. Known for their style that blends folk-inspired traditional dance with ballet pieces and acrobatics, the dance company’s performances world over have always been an insight into Georgia’s cultural spirit. Off to the camel races
Camel racing season kicks off in full swing at Al Marmoom racetrack. The free races on January 7 and 8 give you a front row seat to experience an integral part of the UAE’s heritage, as 60 camels race their way to the finish line along the 4-6km long tracks. Two of the Arab world’s biggest stars – Egyptian actor and singer Mohamed Ramadan and Moroccan pop star Saad Lamjarred – will be performing at the Dubai World Trade Centre on January 10 as part of DSF Nights. Ramadan is known for songs such as Baba and appearances in TV series and films. Lamjarred, who shot to fame winning Arabic talent show Super Star, is known for hits such as Ghaltana, Mal Hbibi and Lamaallem, which is the highest viewed Arabic song on YouTube. Sonu Nigam's back in town
Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam is back to make Dubai swoon with his mellifluous voice. The award-winning artist and composer, who is considered one of the most versatile Indian singers, will belt out hits such as Main Agar Kahoon, Yeh Dil Deewana and Tumse Milke Dilka Hai Jo Haal at his performance at Dubai World Trade Centre Arena on January 10.
