Emirates Airline Festival of Literature
The region’s largest literature celebration is back as the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature marks its 12th edition, boasting a wide array of famous guests that include crime writer Clare Mackintosh, Chris Bonington, explorer who summited Mount Everest, and Hazzaa Al Mansoori, the first Emirati in space. Ballerina Svetlana Zakharova in Abu Dhabi
Russian prima ballerina Svetlana Zakharova, said to be one of the greatest ballerinas of her generation, is set to take Abu Dhabi by storm with her new ballet performance Modanse, a tribute to French fashion designer Coco Chanel and her legacy. The star is also joined by a stunning cast of dancers from the renowned Bolshoi Ballet company, for the Abu Dhabi Classics event held tonight. A collaboration with renowned choreographer Mauro Bigonzetti (who is also the mind behind a pyrotechnic display in the ballet) and costume designer Helena de Medeiros, the programme is to take place at the Cultural Foundation.
