Korean Film Festival in the UAE: Explore a cinematic niche

This October the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and Korean Cultural Centre will host the 4th Korean Film Festival in the UAE. Due to the pandemic, all films will be screened online and each film will be available to watch for three days only. On until October 25. Films are screened from 9am to 9pm. ROFL with Aakash Mehta


Aakash Mehta is set to provide Dubai residents with a fun-filled evening tonight from 9.30pm onwards at Joker Street, Orchid Vue Hotel, Bank Street, Bur Dubai. A law graduate with a diploma in audio engineering, the Mumbai-based stand up is known in the Indian circuit for finding humour in the most inconspicuous of places. Going solo


The Desert Monologues Acting Workshop is back for the 13th instalment in Dubai. The workshop will emphasise drama-based activities and hone skills required for a monologue performance in the theatre space. Open to professionals and amateurs, there will be two sessions – the first from October 17 to November 26, Saturdays 6pm to 8pm; and from Octover 18 to November 26, Sundays 7.30pm to 9.30pm at The Courtyard Building, Al Quoz 1. Aesthetics of the desert


Explore Sunoj D and Namrata Neog’s artistic masterpiece Desert is a Forest at the third Artist’s Garden commission at Jameel Arts Centre. The garden is open tomorrow from 10am to 6pm and is free to all. Catch the limited spots for a reading performance which takes place at 1pm, 3pm and 5pm. Women’s health classes

Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and wellness studio Inspire are coming together to host breast health education and curated yoga classes to help women take control of their health by educating them about their body.
