Words and the letters that make them up chart the evolution of language, culture and history. Nomadic Traces: Journeys of Arabian Scripts, an art exhibition at Warehouse421, Abu Dhabi, does exactly that: exploring the region’s history and culture by delving into the influential ancient scripts that have shaped modern Middle East. Prep your vocal chords for some yodelling-along – Indian singer Amit Kumar, son of the legendary playback singer and actor Kishore Kumar, is peforming his father’s evergreen hits at Bollywood Parks and Resorts’ Raj Mahal theatre Friday. The concert will see Amit paying tributes to his father’s lasting legacy to Indian music and cinema with soulful ballads, groovy dance numbers and genre-busting ditties.
