The long Eid weekend is upon us. We give you the lowdown on how to celebrate the festive season across the UAE with your loved ones.

Activities

Dubai Ice Rink, Dubai Mall: Between August 12 and August 13, the frozen attraction will have special shows featuring songs from Disney hits Aladdin and The Lion King. From 5pm to 5.15pm.

Dubai Festival City: Imagine, the laser and light show at Dubai Festival City will have four curated shows for Eid that will be synchronised with a spectacular display of firework displays on August 11 and 12 at 8pm and 10pm.

The Mall of the Emirates: Fantasy, a special show featuring acrobatics and music, will run at Mall of the Emirates on August 12-16. From 3.30pm until 9.30pm.

Marina Mall, Abu Dhabi: Reel heroes will descend on the mall from August 11-20 with the Justice League show. DC Comics’ superheroes Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman and The Flash will be performing live at the mall. Three shows daily at 4.15pm, 6pm and 8pm.

Laguna Waterpark, La Mer: Make a splash with all things Caribbean at the beachfront waterpark’s Caribbean Fest on August 10 and 11 bringing the best of Caribbean culture, food, music and dance with classes, live performances and food stalls. From 10am-8pm. Tickets are Dh99 at lagunawaterpark.com.

Legoland Dubai: The themepark is hosting a daily eight-minute light show to celebrate Eid until August 16. Light beams from over 800 lighting channels will be hitting over 15,000 Lego models every evening at 7.45pm. Tickets from Dh245 for GCC residents.

The Galleria Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi: Until August 12, visitors at the mall will be welcomed with coffee and dates at the hospitality tent, experience traditional arts and crafts, have personalised calligraphy samples and sand art and henna stations. From 3pm-9pm.

Concerts

Lebanese pop star Nancy Ajram and Iraqi singer-composer Seif Nabeel will be performing at the Dubai World Trade Centre on August 15. The Arab music stars will be belting out some of their biggest hits. Tickets start from Dh95; from 9pm-3am.

DJ Aqeel, is bringing his Disco 82 Tour to Dubai on August 15 at Club 6, Dubai World Trade Centre. The Indian DJ who is known for his popular Bollywood remixes, such as Tu Hai Wahi, will be performing at the indoor club along with other Dubai-based Bollywood DJs, DJ Shadow and DJ Zubair. British pop rock band The 1975 are performing at the Coca-Cola Arena on August 14. Fresh from headlining music festivals like Coachella and Lollapalooza, the Mancunian band are landing in Dubai as part of their World Tour. Dining QE2: Set sail on an international feast with the family aboard the Queen Elizabeth 2’s Eid brunch today and tomorrow.
