The British Orchard Nursery is conducting a Storyland summer camp from June 25-September 7 for kids aged one to five years old. Based on the books for young children by Eric Carle, the courses and workshops at the camp will cover seven areas of learning – communication, language, mathematics, memory skills and arts and design and physical development, all taught in a fun engaging way through Carle’s popular stories such as The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Tashkeel’s annual Summer Art Camp is back this year and there are plenty of offbeat art classes kids can sign up for instead of the usual drawing and painting. Designed for children between eight and 13 years, the two-week courses run from July 9-13 and July 16-20 and will teach kids calligraphy, screen printing, woodwork, making notebooks from eco-friendly soy oil, tie dye, pinhole photography dry point etching and more.
