Palm Jumeirah is the gift that keeps giving. After giving us the world’s most Instagramed hotel – the Atlantis – the manmade island is reaching for the skies in 2021 with a swimming pool hovering 170 metres in the sky.
Wondering where you can splash amidst the clouds? The spectacular new pool is the piece de resistance of the PALM360 – an upcoming two-tower development that includes the Raffles The Palm Dubai Hotel and Raffles Residence.
The project, a parnership between AccorHotels and Dubai-based developer Nakheel, will take shape on Palm Jumeirah’s Boardwalk and is still in its nascent stages, but it’s already creating waves with a one-of-a-kind pool and many other firsts to its name.
The hotel will be the first beachside resort for Raffles in Dubai and it’s also set to top everything else on the island by being the tallest structure on Palm Jumeirah. The 260 metre-high towers will designed to offer unobstructed views of Palm Jumeirah, the Arabian Gulf coastline and the Dubai skyline. The sky pool will be situated on the bridge connecting the two towers.
The hotel will have 125 hotel rooms and suites and the residential tower will have 359 residences, including 16 branded penthouses that will each have their own private infinity pool, gym and cinema. Hotel goers won’t miss out on much – the resort will feature high-quality, well-equipped fitness and wellbeing facilities at the Raffles Spa, Health Club and tennis court, a private beach and beach club.
Both the hotel and residential complex will have access to fine-dining outlets, with two rooftop restaurants. A waterside restaurant and a speciality restaurant with it’s own lobby are also in the pipeline.
Once it’s built, the swish resort will be in posh company – its closest neighbours include other upcoming luxury projects such as The Palm Promenade, The Pointe and Nakheel Mall.
